Cats, cats and more cats!

Anyone who knows me knows I have two cats with names that always get a laugh.
My first-born, Small Cat, was adopted from the local animal shelter of the city I lived in, in 2017.
She turned 3 this past March and she is my number 1 sweet baby.

My second cat is Milkshakes, a fluffy black and white kitty I took from my parents barn in November, 2017. I thought Small Cat needed a friend. The longer I had her the more I realized she was deaf! A deaf cat!
Do you know how many people told me, "No she's not deaf! Cats just ignore you, obviously!!!"
Then why doesn't she wake up when I run the vacuum? Why does it scare her when I walk behind her on the stairs? I later had this confirmed by a vet.

Milkshakes is always a crowd favorite because she is very sweet, loves pets, and usually sits in silly poses.

She also exclusively chirps instead of meows. They say meows are meant to sound like people anyway!
I was right about Small Cat needing a friend. They have been best friends, playmates, snuggle buddies ever since!

That was my kitty family, until recently. A month after my husband and I moved into our new house, a visitor began meeting him at the door every morning before work: a sweet little black cat.

After a ton of discussion, we finally decided to add her to the family after letting her stay in our laundry room during a tornado warning. My husband Jasef named our new friend Zorii (it's a Star Wars reference). When we took Zorii to the vet for her shots, we found out she was pregnant!
Three months later and we have 6 little kittens. That nine (9) cats in my house at one time, if you're counting.

We have decided to keep one kitten, because of course we did. Her name is Diana!

Managing even four cats is a handful of you've never had multiple cats in the house before. They all have distinct personalities, some don't get along, and some just don't care.
We are still keeping them separated until we can get Zorii fixed (which has been pushed back due to Covid-19). All our cats are female so it shouldn't be an issue but we are hoping once she is fixed everyone might get along a little better.
Expect a lot of cat content that I have learned over having 3 years of cats! And just because I love my babies!
Thanks for reading!
